Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): Every employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer failed to ensure its backhoe loader operator performed the daily inspection of his machine, as follows: a.At the Desert Torah Academy construction site, employees were exposed to hazards while working in the area of a backhoe loader that had a muffled backup alarm. The alarm no longer had a detectable audible sound due to the muffling effects caused by duct tape that had been placed over it. The alarm was not being inspected properly due to the employer's lack of inspections that are required to be performed on a daily basis by the backhoe loader manufacturer.
