Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a crushing hazard: a.On or about January 18, 2010, in the Maintenance Building, the employee did not place the beverage cart on the Manitowoc hydraulic lift properly with all four wheels supported and centered on the hydraulic lift, exposing himself to a crushing hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is properly place the beverage cart on the hydraulic lift and to train the employees to properly use the hydraulic lift using the Manitowoc operators instructions and the Automotive Lift Institute publications, "Lifting It Right," SM89-1 and, "Safety Tips," ST90, and train all employees who would be utilizing the lift using those documents. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE REQUIRED.TION
