Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a trip hazard in core sorting area. (a)Core Sorting - On or about November 19, 2009 a section of the floor in the core sorting area was not level and presented a trip hazard. Part of the floor protrudes upward 1 3/4th inches. A section of the building was added after the original construction at the core sorting area and the floor joint was not leveled with the existing floor.
