Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation and/or electrical shock hazards: a.Receiving Area: The baler's emergency stop button was missing. Among other methods, one feasible method is to comply with ANSI Z245.5-1997, Section 5.1.1.5 Emergency stop, which states that " A means of stropping the complete operation of the baler at any point shall be provided".
