North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards while living in a temporary migrant labor camp: Temporary migrant labor camp located at 9504 Pace Rd, Bailey,NC - Two migrant workers were occupying this dwelling while there was no approved electrical service. Three electrical extension cords, run end-to-end, were used to provided electricity to this dwelling from a mobile home. Abatement Notice: One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to provide an electrical service in accordance with the National Electric Code and local building code requirements.
