North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to: a) Temporary labor camp comprised of a white wood frame house, located at 6131 Kerrs Chapel Road Elon, NC 27244--White wood frame house was occupied by 9 migrant farm workers while the following electrical hazards were present: Light fixture not sufficiently secured to ceiling and wall outlet missing cover, allowing for live wires rated at 110 volts to be exposed. Electrical outlets, located less than six feet from water sources in the kitchen, were not ground faulted. Washing machine and refrigerator plugs missing grounding pins and were not plugged in to ground fault outlet. Among other, one feasible and acceptable method of abating these violations is to have all corrections made that meet NEC and local building code requirements.
