29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965: (a)Storage of 134a refrigerant cylinders were exposed to physical damage from vehicular impact when stored along the roadway. Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1, Paragraph 3.3.8 states: Protect cylinders from any object that will produce a cut or other abrasion in the surface of the metal. Do not store cylinders near elevators or gangways, or in locations where heavy moving objects may strike or fall on them. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
