Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation hazards: a)177 Hepburn Road (Upper Montclair Country Club), Clifton, NJ: Employee was injured while using a gasoline powered demolition saw that was equipped with a blade that was not approved for use by the manufacturer, on or about 6/21/2010. Among other methods, feasible and acceptable methods to correct this hazard are: 1. Use a saw blade that is approved by the saw manufacturer. 2. Use a guillotine cutter as recommended by pipe manufacturer.
