Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by load should the below the hook lifting devices fail: a)In the weave area, on or about 09/23/09: A below-the-hook lifting device was lacking load capacity markings. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is to: Mark the rated load of the lifting device on the device in accordance with ASME B30.20-1993, Section 20-1.2.1 Abatement certification must be submitted for this item.
