Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to severe burn injuries from a dust fire and/or deflagration hazard that could have resulted from the propagation of a fire and deflagration in the air material separator (cyclone) that was located inside of the building: a) Baler Room: Air material separator (cyclone) was located inside of the building, as observed on or about May 5, 2009. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO RELOCATE THE AIR MATERIAL SEPARATOR OUTSIDE OF THE FACILITY PER NFPA 654. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
