Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by vehicular traffic: a.On or about August 18, 2008, employees porting vehicles from the rail cars to the parking lot area were not required to wear high visibility clothing, exposing themselves to being struck by vehicular traffic. One feasible abatement method would be for all employees exposed to vehicular traffic wear the high visibility clothing. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE REQUIRED.TION
