Section 5(a)(1): Open sided floor(s) or platform(s) 4 feet or more above the adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded by standard railings (or the equivalent as specified in 29 CFR 1910.23(e)(3)(i) through (v)), on all open sides of rail cars. (a)Employees were exposed to a 14 foot fall hazard while accessing the doors on the top of rail cars and the employer did not ensure that proper fall protection was used by the employees. Certification, and documentation/evidence of abatement is required. Certification of abatement is required by 29 CFR Part 1903 and is to be submitted within ten (10) calendar days after the abatement date.ment
