Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: (a) On or about 08/30/07 - 1001 Cobble Stone Lane, Montevallo, AL, employees were working on a job-made platform attached to a rough terrain fork lift. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to follow the rules of operation in the Sky Trak Legacy Series (Model 6042) Owners/Operators Manual which states that only equipment designed specifically to elevate personnel should be used for this purpose.l
