Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to amputation hazards: a) Worksite located at 317 Richard Mine Road, Wharton, NJ An employee severely lacerated several fingers when using a Delta 10" circular table saw to perform plunge cuts. Violation disclosed on or about 7/11/07 AMONG OTHERS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD IS: 1) To follow the instructional manual that states, "to NEVER perform any operation "free hand".ion
