P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of: a)On or about February 24, 2010, south side of the 2nd level, an employee was using a job-made ladder that did not have filler blocks inserted between the cleats, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of up to 8 feet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate the hazardous condition would be to construct the ladder in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A14.4-1979, Safety Requirements for Job-Made Ladders, section 4.5.2 . ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
