31-372-101 Section 31-370(a) of the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees who are exposed to working underneath elevated automobiles: Location: (A)Highway Department (1)Employee engaged in the maintenance of automobiles is exposed to a crushing hazard in that the automoblie lift is not being inspected according to manufacturer's inspection/maintenance procedures. Feasible methods of abatement: Familiarize all employees on manufacturer's operating instructions and maintenance guidelines including but not limited to: a)Training, information and site specific procedures for the operation, maintenance and inspection of the automobile lift.
