Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a) Space View Park - Titusville - Employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 6 feet while standing in the bucket of a front end loader. The employees were trying to get concrete situated which was loaded in the back of a dump truck. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement to correct the hazard is to operate the front end loader according to the manufacturer's instructions and/or use a ladder or scaffold.ons
