Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: UNAPOPPROC
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards which were likely to cause death or serious physical harm from injury in that, employees were exposed to being asphyxiated from hydrogen sulfide: a) On or about October 28, 2007 and at times prior, employees were exposed to injury in that, employees were exposed to being asphyxiated from hydrogen sulfide in that an adequate Hydrogen sulfide program had not been implemented: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazardous condition while wildcatting would be to implement a hydrogen sulfide program which complies with API RP49 and API RP68 when spudding-in.
