Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: CRUSHING
SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41, Code of Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows: A. Employer knew or should have known that employees operating a forklift were exposed to the hazards of falling out of the lift or being pinned or crushed beneath forklift. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among others, is to require and enforce the use of seat belt wearing when operating forklifts at the establishment. B. Employer knew or should have known that employees operating forklift were exposed to the hazard of falling out of lift or being pinned or crushed beneath forklift. A feasible and useful method to correct this hazard, among others, is to install a seat belt on one Caterpillar 510P forklift, Serial Number 28L690, located in the establishment.
