Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing injuries: Bindery Room: The Caterpillar forklift serial 5N319 was not provided with seatbelts. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install a seatbelt restraint system and train employees regarding the importance of wearing seatbelts and enforcing the company policy that seat belts must be used each and every the truck is used. Specific Abatement Documentation is Required.
