Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: a.On or about July 19, 2006, wooden trusses were not laterally and diagonally temporarily braced in accordance with the BCSI-1 Truss Plate Institute and Wood Truss Council of America specifications, exposing employees to a truss collapse hazard. One feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to install roof trusses in accordance with BCSI-1 Truss Plate Institute and Wood Truss Council of Amercia specifications. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.TION
