Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards: a.On or about May 5, 2006, at building #2, a job-made wooden ladder used to access the second floor did not have filler blocks tightly installed on the underside of each rung, exposing employees to a 10 feet fall hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to follow the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) A14.4-1992 section 4.5.2. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIREDATION
