Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm: At the jobsite on or about 01/04/07, the employer did not make aware to the employees the recognized hazards associated within the workplace. The employees were exposed to the type of hazards associated with being struck by objects due to the unexpected release of pressure. Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to train employees on the recognized hazards associated within the workplace.
