Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards. a.Airlay Department - Employees were operating the Yale and Toyota forklifts without utilizing the restraint system (seatbelts), on or about 01/18/06. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is obtain and follow the guidelines set forth in ANSI standard B56.1-2000. Conduct class or training emphasizing paragraph 5.3.19, which directs that an operator protection device or system, when provided, will be used. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation
