Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that, employees were exposed to inhalation hazards associated with anhydrous ammonia refrigerant: Location - Dry Storage Area, 370 East Eagle Street, Boston, MA: On 11/6/06, the oil receiving tank was not equipped with a proper stop valve to prevent the release of gaseous anhydrous ammonia while service is being perform. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to adhere to the service provisions prescribed by ANSI/ASHRAE 15-2004: Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems.ation
