Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause serious physical harm to employees. On or about October 18, 2006, at the employer's work place at 1101 W. Harrison Rd. at Longview, Texas, there were several small Mokon units in use that had a tendency to tip when pushed sideways. Employees were exposed to be hit by one of these units falling on them, causing serious injury.
