Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a crushing and/or caught between hazard when operating the skid-steer equipment: a.At the site - The employer did not ensure that the skid steer was in good working order, in that the safety bar was missing from the Skid Steer, Mfg. BobCat - Model #773, Serial Number 509649090, on or about 08/09/05. ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD, AMONG OTHERS, TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE SAFETY BAR WHICH IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE BOBCAT INTERLOCK CONTROL SYSTEM.
