Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: CRUSHING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Acto of 1970: The employer did not provide employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards which were not likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to the hazards of serious crushing injuries: a)On or about July 27, 2006, an employee had not undergone adequate training explaining one or more crushing hazards or one or more alternatives of abating crushing hazards that may occur in connection with the towing of an RTD Orion Model No. 2000 Series bus. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method would be to develop and implement a crushing hazard avoidance training program for all employees.
