Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that: An employee was exposed to fall, caught-in and struck-by related hazards while riding on the outside of backhoe/loader. Feasible means abatement include but are not limited to: Comply with the Equipment Manufactures Institute's safety manual for backhoe/loader equipment, which states, "Warning: Your backhoe/loader is a one-person machine. Never permit riders." CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION
