Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to hazards such as struck by and crushing due to losing control of, or dropping loads: (a) Shop area: The hook of the 1.5T overhead hoist used for lifting motors was not equipped with a latch; and (b) Shop area: Inspection records of periodic inspection(s) was/were not completed. Feasible means to abate include following recommendations in ASME B30.16 Overhead Hoists.d
