Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: New Building: The Clark forklift serial number 149111 had the factory installed seat belts tied back and broken. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement is to have the broken seat belt repaired by a qualified individual or company.
