Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:09/02/04 Location:Central Aisleway Through Plant Condition:Employees were not protected from being struck by boxes of products weighing 4.66 lbs. to 24.76 lbs. falling from an overhead conveyor system, 10' above the floor. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to install catch nets or spill pans under the length of the conveyor belt system and repair or replace inoperative electronic shutdown jam eyes on the main trunk line.
