Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:05/21/04 Location:Distribution Center Equipment:North Eye-Lert Emergency Eyewash, Model #12-60-42 Condition:The eyewash station provided where employees charged batteries had two 32 ounce bottles of Fen-all saline solution which would not provide a continuous 15 minute flush to the eye. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install an emergency eyewash station that provides a 15 minute continuous flush.uous
