Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) An employee was observed standing on the top rail and midrail of the aerial platform of a Sky Jack 600 Series Model 7027 scissors lift. Feasible and acceptable methods of abatement to correct this hazard include, but are not limited to the following: (1) Conform to the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) for Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms, ANSI/SIA A92.6-1999. No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
