Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Maintenance Shop: On or about February 3, 2010 and times prior thereto, employees were allowed to work under a vehicle that was supported by wood blocks under the tires and not jack stands. This exposed employees to struck-by hazards from using inappropriate items for holding the vehicle and not supporting the vehicle in the proper place while maintenance underneath the vehicle was being performed.
