P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of: a) Production bed #26 - An employee was allowed to back up a Tucker Built concrete hauler without having a clear view on the right side of the vehicle. b) At the facility - The Komatus WA-320 front-end loader was missing the left side mirror. Among others, one feasible and accepted method to correct the hazard would be to utilize a spotter while backing the equipment in areas utilized by employees and retrain employees on the proper procedures of inspecting and maintaining the equipment. In addition, the employer must support supervisor involvement and enforcement to ensure implementation of the policy.ntation
