North Carolina General Statute 95-125(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by/run over by material handling equipment: a)Bobcat Model S185 Turbo loader- the Bobcat loader was not equipped with a reverse signal alarm and employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by/run over by the equipment prior to and on November 25, 2003. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement would be to install the back up alarm package provided by the manufacturer of the Bobcat Model S185 Loader.
