North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrical hazards as referenced in the NEC, 305-6(b). a)Lot #107 Traemoor Subdivision: a temporary power pole was observed to have a 220 volt outlet with an inoperable GFCI, into which an Englo air compressor, model 63A-17P was plugged and being accessed by employees. A feasible means of abatement is to install an operable GFCI and check periodically to ensure that is it properly functioning.
