Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of exposure to mixing of incompatible materials. a.Second Floor Chemical Storage Areas - BULAB 9533 (sodium tripolyphosphate 6and sodium hydroxide <1) and BUSPERSE 2019 (30-40sodium hydroxide and 10-20potassium hydroxide) are stored in the second floor chemical storage area with Buzyme 2517 (glycerol >1) and BUBOND 162 (1,3-Dichloro-2-propanol 0.1-1.6), BUBOND 2062 and are not compatible. b.Second Floor Chemical Storage Area - BULAB 9715 (cyclohexylamine >1, morpholine >1, N,N-Diethylethanolamine>1) stored in the second floor chemical storage area with Buzyme 2517 (glycerol >1) and is not compatible. c.Second Floor Chemical Storage Area - Mannclor (12.5sodium hypochlorite) is an oxidizer and is incompatible with BULAB 9533, BUSPERSE 2019, BUZYME 2517, BUSPERSE 2032 (petroleum hydrocarbon 50-90), BUSAN 85 (Potassium dimethyldithiocarbamate 50), BUFLOC 5031, BUFLOC 598, BUBOND 2062.
