Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of1970: The employer did not furnish employmentand a place of employment wich were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the employees were exposed to fall hazards as a result of a: A safety platform not being provided to lift employees with the Powered Industrial Truck and personnel on the PIT not having means to shut off the power to the PIT. Location: 590 Revere Beach Parkway, Revere. The employees were exposed to fall hazards while being hoisted with the lull. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable abatement method would be to use a stair tower or other acceptable means of access and egress.
