Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the rotating blade: a)West Shop-Franz Haberle Model H 300A Series "C" Cold saw. b)East Shop-Do All Model 2013-V Vertical Band saw. c)North Shop-Wallace Speedy Cut No model# Cold saw. All saws identified above were not equipped with a magnetic restarter or similar device, as prescribed by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B11.10-1990, Section 5.2.3.4, that in the event of an interruption in the electrical supply such a device would prevent the saw from restarting automatically when power is restored. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).s
