North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to caught in hazards: a)oven department, slitter/winder machine- The left transition plate was broken which caused the small positioning roller to move to the middle of two other rollers after each cycle. Operations could not resume until an employee placed their hand in the point of operation to correctly reposition the small roller. Among other methods one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be to repair/replace the transition plate on the machine.on
