Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. a. On or about August 21, 2003, at the addressed jobsite location, "Covers" were not installed on electrical panel boxes which thereby exposed employees to contact with live electrical parts. One feasible means of abatement (among others) would be to comply with the National Electrical Code 1990 Article 370-24 Covers and Canopies which reads: "In completed installations, each box shall have a cover, faceplate, or fixture canopy."
