Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a) At the site - employee standing on forks of Lull, installing sign was exposed to an approximate 10-15 foot fall hazard, on or about 05/08/02. One means of feasible abatement, among others, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard B56-6-1993, Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks, Section 5.15.1, would be to provide a personnel platform which complies with the design requirements listed in part III (Section 8.25, Platform for Elevating Personnel) of this standard.
