Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: (a) At the site - employees working from Hi Lift - Scissors Lift were exposed to an approximate 8 foot fall hazard in that the employee was standing on the guardrail, while using a nail gun, on or about 4/2/02. (b) At the site - employees working from Hi Lift - Aerial lifts were exposed to an approximate 20 foot fall hazard in that the employees were not utilizing restraint devices while working from the inside of the aerial lift basket, on or about 4/2/02. One means of feasible abatement would be to comply with the American National Standards Institute, ANSI A92.5-1992, Standard for Boom Supported Elevating Work Platforms.
