North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)garage area -- a three cavity duplex 120 VAC receptacle was not protected to prevent contact with the energized electrical contacts. NOTE:Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to secure the receptacle in the box and install a face plate to the front of the receptacle. OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment shall be free from recognized hazards that are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.
