Nevada Revised Statute 618.385(2): An employer shall not fail to furnish, provide and use safety devices and safeguards or fail to adopt and use methods and processes reasonably adequate to render such employment and place of employment safe and healthful: The employer failed to ensure an employee was protected while working in a JLG scissorlift 1932E2 from the follwing conditions: a.Inside the building in area D, an employee was in a scissorlift elevated six feet, nine inches above a concrete floor with the entry chain unsecured. Reference: JLG Operator's Manual, page 1-2. One feasible means of abatement is to ensure that operators secure the entry chain before operating the scissorlifts as required by the manufacturer.
