Section 88.4 - Code of Iowa (2001) 88.4: Employer did not furnish to each of his employee's a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm, employee's were exposed to: (a)Waukee, Iowa - The employee was crushed when the compactor he was operating rolled over on him. The compactor is a Champion Superpac 600P. The employee was not wearing the seat belt that the manufacturer supplied. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to read and abide by the operators safety manual. Employer also needs to train the employees in the safe operation of heavy equipment. This condition was noted on November 19, 2001.ber
