Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: falling out of the cab of the forklift when not wearing a seat belt. On October 22, 2002 at 265 John Brooks Drive, Pendergrass, Ga. an employee was observed not wearing the seat belt when operating a Daewoo forklift. The employee was exposed to being thrown from the cab of the forklift.
