Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: LACKTRAIN
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Spotlight 29 Casino, second floor. One employee was observed working with one foot on the toeboard and one foot or the mid rail of a self propelled mobile elevating work platform (skyjack) which was elevated at least 8 feet to the base of the platform. On or about 12/05/01. Abatement Notes: 1)Train operators to comply with the manufacturer guidelines for operation and ANSI standard A92.6-1990 which states "personnel shall maintain a firm footing on the platform floor while working thereon."
